At Canyons, Park City Ski Resort

Kosher Supervision

·         Rabbi Yosef Kirszenberg is from Argentina. His residence is NYC. Rabbi Kirszenberg will reside in Park City three weeks out of each month during the winter season.

·         When Rabbi  Kirszenberg is not in Park City he will have an assistant. Guests can be assured that we will almost always have a Rabbi on-property.

·         Our designated supervision company is COR (Kashruth Council of Canada) www.cor.ca/xxx

Sabbath and Prayer Service

·         Sabbath services conducted every Friday and Saturday with additional services during the week based on demand (Quorum).

·         Shul, located adjacent to Bistro, is easy walking distance to/from all Canyons Resort Lodges

·         We will hold prayer services, which will include a Torah scroll, during the Sabbath, as well as, traditional Friday dinner and Saturday luncheon.

·         Prayer Service on Sabbath (Friday night) starts about 15 minutes before sundown and lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour, followed by traditional Dinner.  Saturday 9:00 am prayer service lasts about 1 ˝ to 2 hours followed by an early traditional Lunch.  ·     

Bistro

·         Bistro at Canyons is the first certified kosher restaurant at any world-class ski resort in the United States. Bistro will be open throughout the winter season (December 1-April 1).

·         Executive Chef, John Murcko, was recently named Best Chef in Utah by Salt Lake Magazine.

·         Open daily for dinner featuring traditional Sabbath Dinner on Friday

·         Prix fixe Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch during Shabbot (Sabbath)

·         Bistro is a meat kitchen. The restaurant will not serve dairy products.

·         Skiers do not have to leave the mountain in order to enjoy their lunch. Several on-mountain lodges will offer  a freshly prepared /packaged lunch. Packaged Lunches will also be available at selected restaurants in the resort village.

·         Gourmet Fresh Packaged Lunch shall be made available in three locations:  Red Pine, Cloud Nine, First Tracks

·         Kosher gourmet “take out” Breakfast may be ordered the previous evening for guests to enjoy in-room the following morning.

·         Current plans do not allow for room service.

·         Shul is located right next to Bistro in the Silverado Lodge within convenient walking distance from all Canyons Resort Lodges.

·         The Bistro is based on freshness, value and quality and innovation.

·         Skiers do not have to leave the mountain in order to enjoy their lunch.
