A. Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby for your walking tour of the city. The guide will introduce you to the charms of H.C. Andersen’s fairytale city. The guide will take you through the old city with the atmosphere of crooked back streets, quaint buildings, alleyways and charming "hidden" squares, pass famous landmarks and important museums, enter churches, and go into secret courtyards. You will hear about the lifestyle of the locals, the famous Danes, past and present. The guide will take you to some of the important shopping places and to The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain shop on Strøget. In between you will be able to relax at one of the outside Café’s. B. Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby for your walking tour of the city. You will hear about the long journey of the Danish Jews through Europe, via Hamburg to the safe haven of the Kingdom of Denmark. Discover their influence on Danish culture and hear about some of the interesting and influential personalities who contributed to local Danish life over 300 years. You will be informed of the present day Jewish community, its size and the various components that went into its making. The story of the five dark years under Nazi occupation, the deeds of the Danes and their king, Christian X will not be forgotten. You will see some the interesting Jewish place and to the Great Synagogue. The guide will take you to some of the important shopping places and to The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain shop on Strøget.
