Day 1 Arrival in Kyiv. Transfer to the hotel. Program information meeting and dinner at the hotel. Day 2 After breakfast Lecture: The history of Jews in Ukraine: Khazars, The Pale of settlements, the life of the Jews in the tsarist Russia, pogroms. Lecture: Shtetls in Ukraine. The way of life, customs and traditions. Lunch at the downtown restaurant. City tour “Kyiv through the Jewish eyes” including visits to Babyn Yar and Brodsky Synagogue. Dinner at the hotel. Day 3 After early breakfast half-day side trip to Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky ( 90 km, the birth place of Sholom Aleichem, 1859-1916) to visit his museum. Late lunch in Kyiv. PM boat ride along the Dnieper river. Concert of Jewish amateur ensemble of folk music orchestra. Dinner at the hotel. Day 4 After breakfast coach transfer to Odesa (490 km). Lunch en route in Uman. Late afternoon arrival in Odessa, check-in the hotel, dinner at downtown restaurant. Day 5:

The famous Jews who were born and lived in Odesa. The lecture takes place
at the Odesa Literature museum where one Lunch at the downtown restaurant. PM visit to the Synagogue and City tour round the Jewish sites of Odessa. Performance at the famous Odessa Opera House Dinner at the hotel Day 6 After breakfast, lecture : The history of anti-Semitism. It takes place at the Museum of Jewish History. Visit of the “Migdal Jewish Community” Lunch at the downtown restaurant. PM concert of children amateur group of the “Migdal” centre. Dinner at the hotel Day 7

(1772-1810) - one of the most Drive to Vinnytsia (160 km) via old shtetls Haisyn and Nemyriv . Late evening arrival in Vinnytsia, check in the hotel, dinner Day 9 After breakfast Lecture: The World War II and the Holocaust in Vinnytsia Area as an example of the fate of the Jews in WWII in Ukraine. City tour with visits to the Synagogue and the former Jewish quarter “old Yerusalimivka” (Jerusalimivka). After
lunch - drive to Khmelnyk (70 km, one of the best spa resorts) to visit
one of the largest in Ukraine WW II Holocaust Memorials. Day 10
After breakfast departure for Kyiv with stops in Berdychiv (85 km.
The Jews settled here at the end of 16th c., and for a long
time the town belonged to the Next stop in Zhitomyr ( 50 km). Lunch at a local restaurant.
PM tour round the town - in old times it was one of the biggest Jewish
settlements, you’ll drive along the old Jewish quarters and see the house
About 7 PM arrival in Kyiv, check in the hotel, dinner.
Day 11 Visit to the “Hesed Avot” Centre. Lunch at a local restaurant. PM field trip to the Museum of Historical treasures of Ukraine featuring collection of the Judaic ritual silver objects (on the territory of Lavra Monastery). Farwell dinner. Day 12 Morning visit to the Chernobyl Museum. Check out and lunch at the hotel.. PM tour round Andriyvsky Uzviz (descent), shopping. Late PM departure for Moscow by overnight train or homebound flight.
