Our expert guide will provide us with rich and detailed background as we pass through gates erected by Suleiman the Magnificent -- all have entered the same way, on the same stones, for 450 years. Our visit begins with the Jewish Quarter and the Cardo, the colonnaded main street of Jerusalem during the Roman, Byzantine and later eras. After, we wander down the winding streets lovingly rebuilt after the 6-Day war (1967) reaching the Kotel, the Western Wall, and the holiest site in Judaism.
