We have here a sample trip we designed for a family with young active children. Any or all of this tour can be redesigned to meet your needs.

We have proposed an itinerary with one weekend of Shabbat in Sydney and the second weekend at One & Only Hayman Island.

Touring commences in Melbourne with a three night stay at the deluxe boutique hotel – Park Hyatt which is well located in the centre of the city and within easy walking distance of many of the city's prominent buildings and sights.

We have included an extended half day tour with a private driver/guide and vehicle which provides an excellent overview of the city with its history, elegant buildings and fantastic food scene and extends out to the popular St Kilda beach. A visit to the Jewish synagogue will be included and a Kosher catered lunch is also included.

The following morning is at leisure to explore more of the city independently before meeting their private driver/guide and vehicle for an afternoon/evening excursion at Phillip Island. There is the opportunity for close encounters with Koalas at the Koala Conservation centre before continuing to the beach for the Penguin Parade. At sunset a large number of penguins come out of the water and walk up the beach to their land burrows. Viewing platforms provide an excellent view of this fascinating experience.

Flying to Sydney prior to sunset on the Friday I have proposed the Intercontinental Hotel. Located just a block from the harbour front and the Opera House the hotel provides an ideal base from which to explore the waterfront area and also the historic Rocks district which is close by. On the Sunday I have included the services of a private driver/guide and vehicle who will extend touring to the Eastern side of the city including Bondi beach before crossing the Harbour bridge to the established residential suburbs on the North shore. We can board a private sailing yacht for a leisurely two hour cruise of the inner harbour. What a wonderful way to see the city from the water!!

The minimum age to climb the Harbour bridge is 8 years for a morning Bridgeclimb. Climbing through the structure they will arrive at the summit for some of the best city and harbour views.

Travelling by private vehicle the family will enjoy a scenic transfer to the Blue Mountains at Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley . Located in a sheltered valley surrounded by dramatic escarpments the luxury 3 bedroom villa provides deluxe accommodation including its own private plunge pool and mountain bikes. The family will wake to kangaroos and wallabies grazing outside their villa and over a two night stay they will enjoy a full day of activities, including wildlife viewing, mountain bikes, horse riding and other activities for unique rural experience.

Returning to Sydney by private vehicle transfer the family will fly to Hamilton Island and connect with the shared launch transfer to One & Only Hayman Island. Located in the spectacular Whitsundays Islands the resort offers a wide variety of both land based and water activities. Access to the outer Great Barrier Reef is by boat for excellent snorkelling and diving.
It should be noted that if your visit to Queensland is during the ‘green season’ (November to April). Your could experience warm temperatures, high humidity and tropical rainfall. That said it remains a popular time to visit the region. Remember our summer is their winter.

Returning to Sydney for the last night the family will then fly to Queenstown for a short New Zealand stay.

We have proposed properties who are familiar with glatt kosher dietary requirements. They all use reputable kosher caterers and menus can be provided to pre select their meals which will be delivered to the hotels. For first time visitors to Sydney we suggest the clients stay at the Hotel in the city for its views and also easy proximity to many attractions which they can access on foot during Shabbat. There is also another property in Double Bay - a 15 minute ferry ride or bus ride into the city. This hotel does have a designated kosher kitchen .

In New Zealand, the best place for a three night stay is without a doubt, Queenstown. Known as ‘The Adventure Capital of the World’, Queenstown has a plethora of activities available (particularly adrenaline activities) and is surrounded with dramatic natural beauty. We have included a stay at The Rees which has a mix of hotel rooms and apartments. Both have amazing views over Lake Wakatipu to the aptly named Remarkable Mountains. An added benefit with the apartment is that it has a full kitchen, as kosher food can be difficult to find in New Zealand restaurants. While here I have included the must do excursion to Milford Sound. You can fly over the UNESCO World Heritage listed Fiordland National Park which is full of lush rainforest, remote lakes, cascading waterfalls, and of course, the spectacularly beautiful Milford Sound. You can land in the fiord and go for a cruise to take in the scenery, and spot seals and dolphins. The next day is at leisure.
