Fez, Marrakech, Rabat, Meknes… and all the cities that you will visit in this tour are different. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Casablanca, Morocco (D)

Arrival to Casablanca. Meet and greet by our driver and guide. Transfer to your hotel in Casablanca city center. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Tangier (B, D)

Breakfast at your hotel and begin the day exploring the port city of Casablanca, Morocco’s largest metropolis and its industrial hub. You will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the biggest mosque in Morocco (it accommodates up to 25,000 worshippers); its minaret stands as the tallest religious structure in the world. Continue to the Moorish city of Rabat and the Mohammed V Mausoleum, dedicated to Mohammed V, the founder of modern Morocco and grandfather of the current king. See the stunning Moresque-style Hassan Tower and Oudaya Kasbah, along with its scenic Andalusian gardens. Lunch at leisure and driver to Asilah and then Tangier. Check-in at your Palace. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tangier – Tetouan – Chaouen (B, D)

Breakfast at your hotel and visit of Tangier. the international status of tangier gives to it a different style which contrasts totally with the other Moroccan cities. The visit will include the Kasbah, the Medina with the petit and grand Socco before our drive along the Mediterranean coast to reach Tetouan. Another jewel of the Moorish era. Lunch at leisure and visit of the Mechouar (the square of the Royal Palace), and the Medina. The Spanish style is evident in Tetouan which was the capital of the north during the Spanish protectorate. Driver later on to Chaouen. A little town in the hearth of the Rif Mountains. Dinner and overnight in your riad.

Day 4: Chaouen – Ouezzan – Fez (B, D)

Breakfast at your hotel and visit of chaouen or Chefchaouen, as it is often called by Moroccans, is a popular tourist destination because of its proximity to Tangier and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. The name refers to the shape of the mountain tops above the town, that look like the two horns (chaoua) of a goat. “Chef Chaouen” derives from the Berber word for horns, Ichawen. There are approximately two hundred hotels catering to the summer influx of European tourists. One distinction possessed by Chefchaouen is its blue-rinsed houses and buildings. Visit of the Kasbah, Ras El Ma, Outa Lhman Sqaure and the Medina before departure to Ouezzan. Lunch in a local house in that spiritual city before continue to Fez. Arrival to Fez. Dinner and overnight at your riad.

Day 5: Fez (B,D)

Breakfast at you riad and departure for a full say discovery of the spiritual capital of Morocco: Fez. The sightseeing will begin in the Royal Palace, and Mellah (Jewish quarter) in Fez el-Jadid. We will continue by exploring Fez el-Bali (Old Fez), the cultural heart of Morocco, originally founded in the eighth century AD by Moulay Idriss I. The imperial capital was a renowned center of medieval learning; at its heart still remains the Karaouine University, one of the oldest, still-functioning universities in the world. Stroll the labyrinthine old quarter, with its 9,000 narrow lanes, alleys and souks. Visit the 14th-century Karaouine from outside, the Hispano-Moorish Attarine Medersa (Koranic school) and Nejjarine Square with its magnificent fountain and museum. Lunch at leisure in the medina of Fes and continue exploring the Medina and its souks. Dinner in an outside restaurant. Overnight at your riad.

Day 6: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Mly Idriss – Fez (B,D)

Breakfast at your riad and departure for a new day discovery of another imperial city: Meknes. This legend city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the biggest cities of Morocco. Its impressive monuments recall the splendor of a city, first built in the 17th century by the powerful sultan Moulay Ismail, to rival the court of his contemporary Louis XIV of France. See the monumental Bab Mansour gateway — considered one of the finest great gates of Morocco — as well as the Granaries and the Royal Stables. The visit will continue in Moulay Ismail’s Mausoleum, one of the few shrines in Morocco that may be visited by non-Muslims. Later on departure to Mly Idriss village. Lunch at leisure in this little spiritual city (called Mekka of the poor). You continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Among the site’s greatest treasures, however, are the stunning mosaic floors, which include Orpheus charming animals with his lyre, nine dolphins signifying good luck and a portrait of Amphitrite in a seahorse-drawn chariot. Return to Fez after the end of the visit of Volubilis. Dinner and overnight at your riad.

Day 7: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud (B, L, D)

Breakfast at your riad and departure for a new day exploration of the deep Morocco. Today journey will take you to the middle Atlas little town of Ifrane before you continue through the cedar forest of the middle Atlas to Midelt. Lunch and continue to Erfoud. The road along the Ziz River is just magnificent. The beautiful gorges of Ziz will take you to Errachidia. Many Berber villages are settled like a beautiful rosary. Arrival to Erfoud a little touristic town in the desert margin. Dinner at your hotel and overnight.

Day 8: Erfoud – Merzouga

Breakfast at your hotel and drive to Rissani, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. Visit of Mly Ali Cherif Mausoleum after a fossil museum. The district of Merzouga is known to be one of the best locations for fossils. The area is the begging of the African mother rock. Lunch and drive to the dunes. Where a reception with mint tea and pastries awaits at your nomadic tented camp in the hearth of the dunes. Erg Chebbi’s stunning dunes can reach up to 500 feet high, creating an otherworldly landscape. Camel ride in the dunes before dinner with entertainment. Overnight in our deluxe tented Berber camp.

Day 9: Merouga – Todgha Gorges – Ouarzazate

Berber breakfast in Merzouga dunes before departure to Todgha Gorges in the High western Atlas. On route you can see the ingenious Foggara system before arrival to Todgha. Lunch in these magnificent cathedral of rock before continue through Dades valley to Skoura and later on to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 10: Ouarzazate – Marrakech (B,L,D)

After breakfast visit of Ouarzazte. A little garrison town which had attracted many film makers. Visit of Kasbah Taourirt and later on the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (Classified Human Heritage by UNESCO). Many budget films and series were turned in Ouarzazate (Scorpion King, Star wars, and Lawrence of Arabia); some episodes of Game of thrones were turned in the oasis of Fint near Ouarzazate. Lunch and continue to Marrakech. You will cross the High Atlas Mountain by one of the highest passes (Tichka) and traverse a fertile area to Marrakech. Check-in dinner and overnight at your riad.

Day 11: Marrakech (B, D)

Breakfast at your hotel and guided tour of Marrakech. The ochre city is a living melting pot of the Berber, Arab and African cultures. Its 12th Century Koutoubia Mosque is representative of the Hispano-Moresque art. The 19th Century Bahia Palace preserves centuries-old techniques and craftsmanship of Islamic architecture. The Menebhi Palace, converted in 1996 to a museum, holds regular exhibits of contemporary arts. The visit will include the Koutoubia Mosque (from outside), the Mellalh (Jewish district), the Bahia and Saadan Palaces and Dar Si Said Museum. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, the visit of Marrakech souks will be a chance to explore the souks in Morocco with its different districts and parts: The souk “SMATA” souk “HAJJARINE” souk “CHKAIRIA, Souk JEWELRY, Souk” EL Haddadine, Souk “Semmarine” “RAHBA KDIMA souk” Najjarine “souk” Zrabi “and Souk” Serrajine. Late afternoon walk in Jemaa el fna square, The Open Outdoor Theatre which offers various entertainments (story tellers, water seller’s acrobats, snake-charmers, magicians, musicians, open-air barbecue food-stalls. Dinner in an outside restaurant with oriental entertainment (oud player and belly dancer). Overnight in your riad in Marrakech.

Day 12: Marrakech at leisure (B, D)

Breakfast at your hotel and full day at leisure to explore Marrakech on your own. Dinner and overnight at your riad.

Day 13: Marrakech – Essaouira (B, D)

Breakfast at your hotel and departure for a new trip the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Essaouira is a unique city. Build by Sultan Mly Abdellah it was a very important Jewish city. During the trip you will cross the Argan forest of Haouz. A unique tree in Morocco known for its oil which has many benefits. Stop in a local woman co-operative to see the process of producing that oil before departure to Essaouira. This visit of this city will include the Medina, The Sqala, Fish market and port. Lunch at leisure. Check in at your riad. Time at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your riad.

Day 14: Essaouira – El Jadida – Casablanca (B,D)

Breakfast at your riad and departure along the Atlantic coast to Casablanca. The landscape is just wonderful and contrasts with all what you have seen in the other stages of this tour. Many little beautiful towns are in your road: Oualidia with its beautiful lagoon, Safi known for its pottery and El Jadida, the Portuguese city. Stop in El Jadida for visit and lunch. The sightseeing will include El Jadida Portuguese cistern and the Sqala. Continue to Casablanca. Check-in. dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 15: Casablanca – Departure (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. Depending on the flight schedule transfer to Casablanca airport. Assistance for check-in at airport before departure.
