I have just returned from Russia and want to thank you for assisting my travel agent, Netti Russo, up here in New Jersey, arrange private tours in Moscow and St. Petersburg for me. I wasn’t sure what to expect and the tours were a very valuable part of my 2 wks of travel with Viking River Cruise. I needed to speak to our local contact once and having her Emergency 24 hrs. phone was very helpful. The guide in Moscow was wonderful and Moscow was a surprise to me with 3 synagogues and, lucky for me, a Jerusalem fair near the Grand Choral and a pre-Shavous fair at the Lubavitch. It made for a very special tour. The guide in St. Petersberg was also informative and lovely.
Although there may have only been approx. 12 identified Jewish people on a ship with 198, I suggested to the Program Director on the Helgi that Viking might consider making a Heritage Tour available during the optional (free time) days for anyone interested. I’m sure there are other people like me. I am certain to recommend you to anyone heading to Russia.
